Our next podcast, which will focus on students' comical memories and stories, will be hosted by Deon Danner and Daytona Krontz. It will be recorded March 11 and posted shortly after (we are trying to get quicker; we are all learning together how to edit video, do lights, add sound, etc.) It will also include an original instrumental intro composed by our own Brice Clay.
Subscribe to our YouTube channel and watch/listen as we get better and better!

Yes, we're doing dance this year!
Even though the season is technically over, a group of students came to Mrs. Barrand and asked if she could please do a dance team. So, we will be doing just that!
This year's "dance season" will be very different. The team will be performing at school and community events, while at the same time preparing for the 2025-26 dance season.
Practices are from 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Deadline to join this year's team is Thursday, March 6. The dance team is open to all students in grades 6-12, and you can participate even if you're in other sports or activities (in the past, we have had dance team members who also participated in basketball and cheer ... all at the same time ... and made it work).
To be on the dance team, the student and a parent or guardian must fill out a behavior and attendance compact. Even if you're just considering joining, come to a practice, learn some fun, simple dance and pom moves and see what we're all about. It's hard work, but we have a lot of fun.
If you have questions, email Mrs. Barrand at jbarrand@gmail.com.

In Mr. Richards 7th period Current Events we finished up Black History Month with biography posters. Kenia's Michael Jordan poster was a slam dunk.

Mr Richards US History class is in the midst of a Civil Rights unit. Students here are taking a Jim Crow Era literacy test from Louisiana. They struggled with the test, but gained a greater appreciation for the struggles that Black Americans had to endure to achieve their 14th Amendment rights.

The 3rd grade class spaghetti dinner fundraiser is TONIGHT! Come join us from 5-8pm. Tickets are $10 each. We also have silent auction items for sale!
